Gov Cuomo Rocked By Sexual Harassment Allegation From Current Staffer

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo literally can’t even go a week without another woman coming out against him with sexual harassment allegations.

According to The Hill, on Friday afternoon the New York Times published yet another bombshell story that brings the current number of women with accusations against the embattled governor to eight — this time the allegation coming from a current staffer, which is another first in the explosive scandal.

Alyssa McGrath told reporters at The Times that Cuomo has made a number of inappropriate remarks about her appearance and once told her she was beautiful in Italian. The governor also allegedly questioned her about her marital status, remarking on the absence of a wedding ring and asking about her divorce.

McGrath also reported that the governor peeped down her shirt to comment on a necklace she was wearing at the time of the incident.

Her account of Cuomo’s apparent problem with being inappropriate with women he works with echoes claims from the seven previous women who’ve made similar allegations.

Her account comes just a week after the Albany Police Department was given sexual assault referral from the New York State Police, in which a former Cuomo aide accused the governor of groping. McGrath said that Cuomo reportedly told the unnamed aide in that account not to tell McGrath about what happened.

“She froze when he started doing that stuff to her,” McGrath told the outlet.

Cuomo’s lawyer, Rita Galvin, attempted to defend the governor with the same asinine defense that he originally stated during several press conferences, in which he claims he kisses hundreds of people, saying Cuomo “has greeted men and women with hugs and a kiss on the cheek, forehead, or hand. Yes, he has posed for photographs with his arm around them. Yes, he uses Italian phrases like ‘ciao bella.’”

It looks like Cuomo might need to hire better legal counsel, as that defense is literally laughed at by anyone who hears it.

Now that there are EIGHT women, and with practically the entire list of “who’s who” high-profile Democrats calling for his resignation, on a state and federal level, and the nursing home scandal in the background that he will also soon have to answer for in a legal sense, if this man is still the governor by the time the weekend is up, then something has gone terribly wrong.
