President Joe Biden will seek to complete the task that his predecessor, President Barack Obama, set out to accomplish during his first two terms in office: “fundamentally transform” the United States of America.
Details of a secret meeting between Biden and presidential advisors have recently been unveiled, shedding light on the administration’s future plans. It’s a harrowing look at an extreme agenda for those who love America.
According to Axios, “President Biden recently held an undisclosed East Room session with historians that included discussion of how big is too big — and how fast is too fast — to cram once-in-a-lifetime historic changes to America.”
President Biden also expressed his strong support for H.R. 1, a dangerous bill that would repeal voter ID laws, mandate no-fault mail-in and absentee voting, and legalize “drop boxes” for ballots.
“In the wake of an unprecedented assault on our democracy; a concerted effort to ignore, undermine, and undo the will of the American people never seen before in our history; and a new wave of aggressive attacks on voting rights taking place in states across the country, I applaud Speaker Pelosi and the House of Representatives for passing H.R. 1, the For the People Act of 2021,” the White House said.
The filibuster is the only thing that stands in the way of such a bill. It’s a Senate cloture rule that takes 60 votes to end debate and move on to a vote on most issues. The Senate, which is split 50-50 between Republicans and Democrats, with Vice President Kamala Harris controlling the deciding vote, is the last obstacle standing in the way of the federal government enacting major changes. Democrats continue to express their desire to end the filibuster, including by passing H.R. 1, which would effectively guarantee a Democratic majority in Congress for the foreseeable future.
However, overhauling America’s constitutional order on elections is just one of the Democrats’ radical plans for the country.
The cost of the massive spending bill is estimated to be between $3 trillion and $4 trillion. It would include a slew of “free” socialist programs, including universal pre-kindergarten, free community college, climate change initiatives, and an ostensible effort to reduce income inequality. It would be in addition to the $1.9 trillion COVID “relief” plan that was recently enacted. It has the potential to increase federal spending by over $11 trillion in a single calendar year, resulting in huge tax increases for American taxpayers.
Despite previous promises to the contrary, the Biden administration is working to enact substantial gun control legislation.
On Tuesday, Biden was reported to be considering executive action on gun control after the Boulder shooter suspect was identified as Ahmad al Alissa, who is accused of killing ten people.
The White House said on Tuesday, a day after the second deadly mass shooting in a week, that President Joe Biden urged Congress to pass gun control legislation quickly and that he may take action on his own to stop mass violence.
According to leaked audio from a Biden meeting with civil rights leaders in December, Biden vowed to uphold the Constitution and oppose the use of strong executive action on contentious issues like gun control.
